Dollar Bank Three Rivers Art Festival
Looking for something different to do in the city? Are you trying to explore your new home? The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Art Festival might be the perfect-affordable solution. Enjoy the ten-day period for absolutely no cost, which makes it one of the most-celebrated FREE festivals in the country.
The festival is a safe zone for the exchange of creative ideas and thoughts. Its purpose is to spread the word that art matters and does make a change.
The 58th annual celebration is hosted in three different locations, Point State Park, Cultural District and the Gateway Center. Each venue is filled with music, theater, public art installations, gallery exhibitions and more.
Three Rivers Art Festival started out as a small outdoor showcase of art founded in 1960 by the Women’s Committee of the Carnegie Museum of Art. All those years add up to more than 10,000 visual and performing artists that have entertained millions of people. Some of these artists in the past include stage performer Ella Fitzgerald, literary legend, Allen Ginsberg and concerts featuring The Wailers and the Black Keys.
Different food vendors will be at the locations as an additional cost to your visit.
No tickets are required, and all exhibitions will be open to the public from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. until Sunday, June 11.
Dogs on leashes are allowed in the Point State Park venue, but guide animals are welcomed at all locations.
