for the Holidays: Part 1

Some people are born with this amazing talent that enables them to buy the perfect gift. Whether it’s for a birthday, Christmas, Hanukkah, or just a ‘hey I’m thinking of you’ moment, this person succeeds each and every time.

During this upcoming holiday season, those perfect-gift-givers probably have a list, they’ll check it twice, and when the time comes for you to open their present, it will undoubtedly be exactly what you wanted. But for those who need more of a nudge and a push in the right direction, Pittsburgh has some great events in November that will get you set for the holidays.

Black Friday:

Most stores open their doors as early as Thanksgiving night to provide one-day deals. This year, REI stores, like the one in South Side by Carson Street Commons, will be closing their stores on Black Friday instead, hoping to spread a message to encourage people to go outdoors.  Will REI set a trend for future Black Fridays? I guess we’ll have to see.

When: November 27 – All day

Where: All over Pittsburgh (except REI)
