If you follow our blogs and Facebook posts, you’ve probably noticed that we post about these events a lot – we rave about them actually! And it’s not just because we’re sponsors. Our sponsorship lets us give back to the community, while getting our residents an amazing discount to a truly spectacular event. So what exactly goes on at these MAKEnights?
MAKEnights are once-a-quarter after hours events where adults (21 and up) take over MAKESHOP at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh for a few hours. No kids, no chaos, just food, drinks, making and fun!
Every event is different and features cool new projects and techniques to try, along with old favorites. We’ve sponsored three events thus far in 2016 – from “My Snarky Valentine” in February, to “Let’s Get Physical” in May, to “Roadtrip” in September, each event includes fun hands-on activities, light food from local restaurants, and alcohol. And did we mention it’s only $12? Whether you go with your significant other, roommate, new neighbor, or just by yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
December’s theme is “Doctor MAKEnight” – whether you’re suffering boredom or the winter blues, come cheer up at the museum for a night of medical making and corporeal crafts like Shrinky Dink body parts, ink-marbled cells, 3D organs, and live model sketches. Edible activities include frosting anatomical gingerbread people and a Bloody Mary bar! Like all events, there will be plenty of photo opportunities to capture all the memories.
Have we convinced you? Buy your tickets today and we’ll see you on December 8! Don’t forget to stop by the Faros Properties sponsor table for a special treat.
